Tested Adapters
Spotter needs an adapter that handles header switching and multi-frame replies reliably at speed. These are the ones we've verified on a real Land Cruiser 250.

| OBDLink CX | Verified | The development reference. Bluetooth LE, STN2310. Requires one-time pairing on first connect — accept the iOS pairing prompt. |
| OBDLink MX+ | Expected to work | Same STN family as the CX; not yet verified on this vehicle. |
| Generic BLE "ELM327 v1.5" clones | Not recommended | Many drop multi-frame replies or mangle fast polling. Spotter runs a capability check on connect and will tell you if your adapter fails it, rather than failing silently. |
| Any Wi-Fi adapter | Unsupported | Joining an adapter's Wi-Fi network breaks wireless CarPlay. By design, never supported. |
